Many of my clients choose to see me through private pay rather than insurance. Private pay therapy offers several benefits that give you more freedom and flexibility in your care:
Confidentiality – Your sessions are kept fully private, with no insurance record.
Flexibility – We can focus on what matters most to you without restrictions from insurance companies.
Personalized care – You decide the goals, pace, and focus of therapy, and we adjust as your needs change.
I provide virtual therapy for adults in Georgia and Alabama, specializing in:
Trauma and PTSD
Anxiety, panic, and stress
Grief and loss
Relationship struggles and trust issues
Low self-esteem and self-worth
My approach blends EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and mindfulness / mind–body practices to create practical and lasting change. For clients who prefer a more active experience, I also offer Walk & Talk therapy — combining movement, fresh air, and conversation as another way to support your healing and growth.
Private pay clients often tell me they value:
The ability to see the therapist they choose, not just who’s “in network.”
Greater privacy and control over their personal health information.
The option to set the length and frequency of sessions in a way that works best for them.
Rate: Individual Therapy $155, Couples/Family Therapy $175, Group Therapy $40 - $50, Coaching Services - Contact for details, Case Management - Contact for details
Payment methods: credit/debit card, HSA/FSA cards
Choosing private pay is an investment in yourself — one that allows us to work together in a way that’s flexible, focused, and designed around your needs.
Do you offer superbills for reimbursement?
Yes. If you have out-of-network benefits with your insurance, I can provide a monthly superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit for possible reimbursement. Learn more in my article on out-of-network benefits and superbills.
Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
Yes, I accept HSA and FSA cards in addition to standard credit and debit cards.
What if I can’t afford weekly sessions?
We can adjust the frequency of sessions to meet your needs — weekly, biweekly, or as-needed. Some clients also choose to combine ongoing therapy with occasional check-ins.
Why would I choose private pay over insurance?
Private pay offers greater privacy, flexibility, and choice. Together, we decide what therapy looks like for you — not an insurance company.
Can I start therapy later if now isn’t the right time?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to reach out whenever you’re ready to begin.
